Starting in 1961 manufacturing and supplying high-quality fuel storage tanks
to the rapidly expanding network of fuel forecourts, the business has continued to evolve and respond to the changing requirements of this sector still supporting many of the same customers over half a century later. Testament to the quality and service Cookson & Zinn has provided over this time is the fact that you will find our products in over 55 countries worldwide.
In 2010 Cookson and Zinn joined US-based Franklin Electric
a business with sales in excess of $1.2b annually and with a global footprint. Being part of a global business that sees customer service and innovation as key, has allowed us to expand and to continue developing our services and products.
As technologies and requirements have changed over the years
so has the range of solutions we provide. While fuel storage solution still remains part of our business, we have expanded both our product offering and sectors serviced. Manufacturing tanks and vessels in both carbon and stainless steel, the range includes cylindrical above and below ground tanks, single or double-walled with integrated bunds, pressure, and processing vessels for a wide range of industries including oil exploration, water processing, aviation, chemical, building materials and food processing to name but a few.

These services are seamlessly integrated
with our in-house automated manufacturing, welding, and painting facilities ensuring the highest quality is maintained throughout the process. Deuma automatic tank assembly guarantees maximum concentricity and straightness, automated sub-are welding in addition to a range of specialist welding equipment ensure the quality and consistency of welding is always maintained at the highest levels. The in-house surface blasting ensures all tanks are presented to our painting facilities with a surface preparation that ensures the highest quality paint coverage and adhesion.
